The beginning of the modern period in Indian history is from the 19th century. Mangal Pandey started the freedom struggle from the revolution of 1857. The British Raj began to feel that Indians could no longer accept slavery. The flow of new stream of consciousness and the wave of new consciousness ran all around the nation. Poems and dramas containing patriotism were composed, Awareness was spread through plays and the wave of renaissance and renaissance spread all over India after the revolution of 1857. The time period from Bharatandu era to progressive era is renaissance. The main objective of the research paper is to establish the relationship between renaissance, renaissance and independent movement.
