The Impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence Adoption on Employees' Professional Identity: The Relationship of Psychological Safety and Work Redesign—An Applied Study of Iraqi Universities

Abstract
The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of adopting generative artificial intelligence on the professional identity of employees in Iraqi universities by identifying the mediating role of psychological safety and work redesign in this regard. The descriptive analytical method was used and the main tool to collect the data was a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 322 personnel of Iraqi institutions (faculty members, administrative staff, researchers and research assistants). Data were analyzed by SPSS with some statistical techniques such as Cronbach’s alpha, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and simple linear regression.
