Abstract

India’s socio-economic policies have evolved over millennia, shaped by cultural traditions, political transformations, and global influences. Present paper explores the trajectory of India’s social and economic policies from prehistoric times to the present, examining their impact on governance, economy, and society. Through a detailed analysis of various historical periods, including ancient, medieval, colonial, and post-independence eras, this study highlights the continuity and change in policy frameworks.
