Abstract
India’s development trajectory has always been closely intertwined with agriculture. From being a subsistenceoriented agrarian economy at the time of independence to achieving food self-sufficiency through the Green Revolution, agriculture has shaped India’s economic, social, and political landscape. Even in the era of rapid industrialization and digital transformation, agriculture continues to support nearly half of India’s population and remains the primary livelihood source for rural households.
